In 2015, the Pelagos was the first Tudor watch to be equipped with movements developed and produced in-house, the first step towards a major industrial project designed to offer greater independence to the brand founded in 1926 by Hans Wilsdorf. When the Pelagos model was developed, it was done so in real-life conditions on the basis of numerous tests around the world, including in Lake Geneva, close to Tudor’s headquarters in Geneva. The Pelagos is water-resistant to 200 metres.In depthThis new Tudor Pelagos ref. M25717N-0001 features fixed lugs and an elegant, lightweight titanium case measuring 12.75 mm thick and 42 mm in diameter. It is equipped with Manufacture Calibre MT5602, COSC-certified and offering a power reserve of up to 70 hours. A true diver’s watch, it features a black unidirectional rotating titanium bezel with a ceramic disc graduated for 60 minutes. This model is the modern “Milsub” par excellence, the emblematic military diver’s watch.Good to knowFor decades from the late 1950s onwards, the US Navy used TUDOR diving watches. The Navy SEALs in particular wore these watches, from their creation in 1962 until the 1980s.
