A model designed to be a must-have for any frequent traveler!A sporty-chic design with a poetic dialAxed and built with practicality and sturdiness in mind, this SBGE305possesses a 40.5mm stainless steel case with a finish alternating between brushed and Zaratsu polished surfaces, typical of Japanese production. Designed to withstand a pressure of 20 bars thanks to its aiming crown, it also boasts a magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m making this watch a high-performance sportswatch.The deep red dial of this model is inspired by the morning glow of the rising sun over the mountain peaks of Hotaka – near Japan’s Shinshu Watch Studio, birthplace of Spring Drive. The black ceramic bezel recalls the sheer rock face, while the Lumibrite-coated silver hands are protected by a domed sapphire crystal. Standing out against the dark red dial, the silvered GMT hand further enhances the great legibility for which Grand Seiko is renowned. Finally, this dial features the power reserve indicator, which shows the winding status of the movement, as well as a date aperture located at 4 o’clock.This model is fitted with a satin-finish 3-link steel bracelet featuring a push-button folding clasp.A Spring Drive caliber with exceptional precisionWithin this GMT, we find caliber 9R66, a Manufacture classic. Its precision is rated at +/-15 seconds per month and offers a comfortable 72-hour power reserve. Like all Spring Drive watches, the seconds hand moves in a perfect glide, a unique Spring Drive characteristic. Visible through a transparent caseback, the caliber 9R66 is considered by watch enthusiasts to be a true GMT movement. Indeed, the local hour hand is independently adjustable. The advantage of this complication is that when arriving at a new location in a different time zone, you can move the hour hand forward or backward to the appropriate time without any difficulty.
