A rare, precious and precise creation of great reliability, resting on a movement base clocked at 4 Hz and developed by Frederique Constant almost 10 years ago.A 72-hour power reserveThis model sees the light of day today, not only with a revisited aesthetic, but above all with new technical specifics, thanks to the new Manufacture FC-716 caliber. The latter is equipped with a new barrel that now offers three days of power reserve, i.e. 72 hours. It is a high-precision movement, clocked at 4 Hz. This choice by the Maison makes it more resistant to the vagaries of daily life, thanks to its ability to quickly return to a perfectly regular oscillation. The FC-716 caliber is based on the FC-715 caliber, which has been in the Manufacture’s collections since 2015, and from which it takes over 90% of its components. It is therefore a particularly well-proven movement, with extremely high reliability.The daughter of astronomyAs the saying goes, “watchmaking is the daughter of astronomy”. On a streamlined dial, these two horological foundations stand out. First, the watchmaking side, with three hand-polished central hands, redesigned and now diamond-faceted (only those for hours and minutes), just like the indexes.Then, the astronomical side. At 6 o’clock, a single window brings together two complications in a single counter: the moon phase and the date. They are closely correlated, with the moon scrolling through a starry window at the precise rhythm of 29.5 days.A gentle, poetic astral symbiosisThe date is indicated by a central hand traversing a peripheral scale graduated from 1 to 31. In this starry space, the short time of the date and the long time of the moon coexist in a gentle, poetic astral symbiosis.The watch is offered with a navy blue alligator leather strap, adorned with matching topstitching. This choice of materials and finishes lends the piece a sophisticated, timeless elegance, highlighting its refined appearance. The alligator leather, renowned for its luxurious texture and durability, ensures exceptional comfort on the wrist, while the tone-on-tone topstitching adds a subtle touch of handcrafted perfection.
